SEA/SICK came out of Editor In Chief Katie’s anxiety. Scared of change, scared of breaking into the “literary scene,” scared of letting her work go unseen, she needed an outlet. SEA/SICK began as a low-barrier-of-entry platform for small artists. After a yearlong hiatus, SEA/SICK is back with bigger ambitions. Run by a small team of college students, we still aim to platform small artists, especially those whose work has yet to appear in other publications. SEA/SICK is also working to build its own literary community in New York by hosting creative events and really getting to know our contributors.
